Launched recently, this is a highly autonomous AI capable of planning, writing, testing, and debugging full-stack applications from a single prompt. It can create databases, wire up frontends, and configure deployment environments without human intervention.

Replacing the legacy Ghostwriter, the Assistant is designed for iterative development (the “1 to 10” phase). It understands the entire context of your codebase to refactor logic, fix bugs, and add features directly to your existing files.

Replit provides built-in services including a Native PostgreSQL Database, Object Storage, and Secret Management. These are automatically provisioned by the Agent when needed, removing the “infrastructure headache.”

Features a Google Docs-like experience for code, allowing multiple developers (and AI agents) to work in the same environment with live cursors, shared terminals, and integrated chat.

Offers one-click deployment for any project. Recently, users can choose between Static Hosting (for simple sites), Autoscale (for dynamic web apps), or Reserved VMs (for high-uptime, mission-critical services).

A partnership allows users to build and sync Replit apps directly within the ChatGPT interface, bridging the gap between conversational AI and functional cloud hosting.

Replit uses an “Effort-Based” pricing model for AI. Subscriptions include a monthly credit allowance that covers AI tasks, deployments, and compute boosts.
